DIY Hot Pockets

I am always on the lookout for easy and delicious recipes to make. I like to vary our menu so that no one gets tired of one particular food.

I also try to make copycat versions of popular foods, to show people that you can eat those delicious things without all the preservatives.

This one is one of the easiest that I make and it is always a big hit!

These can be changed to fit any taste or ingredients that you have on hand.

These particular ones pictured below were made with turkey and mozzarella, but you can use any meat and any cheese combo that you like!

DIY Hot Pockets

crescent roll dough (homemade or store bought)
meat
cheese
olive oil
seasonings

I used a homemade crescent roll recipe and rolled it out and cut into rectangles. If you buy the rolls from the store, use a rolling pin or your fingers and pinch together the seam between two triangles to make it one rectangle.

Brush some olive oil onto the crescent rectangle and then sprinkle seasonings. (I used a little garlic powder and some Italian seasoning on mine)

Lay your meat and cheese on top of the rectangle. Try to keep any from hanging over the edge. Leave a small edge of dough that is not covered with meat and cheese. Start with the other end and begin to roll it up. Once you reach the end without anything on it, use your fingers to seal the dough into each other.

Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes on 350, until crescents are golden brown.
